“Town“ Under-16s hosted Ardstraw at Lakeland Forum on last Friday evening and a keenly contested game was marred by the post match shenanigans of the Newtownstewart side who emerged victors on a 3-2 scoreline. The Under-16s’ goalscorers were Christopher Carney and Ryan Farry.
Seventy-two hours later “Town” Under-14s travelled to Valley Stadium, Fivemiletown to play Fivemiletown United and returned home with maximum points following a comprehensive 8-1 victory. The Under-14s’ goals were scored by Nathan Lindsay (4), Thomas Owens (2), Adam Carson and Matt Conlin.
Forthcoming Brendan Keogh Youth League fixtures are as follows: Wednesday 4th May - Under-15s v Fivemiletown United (home); Friday 6th May - Under-16s v Ballinamallard United (away) and Saturday 7th May - Under-13s v Fivemiletown United (away).
All parents are again asked to note revised Coaching times as follows:- Children born in 2003, 2004 , 2005 & 2006: Saturdays 10.00am - 11.00am; Children born in 2001 & 2002: Saturdays 11.00am - 12.30pm and Wednesdays 6.00pm - 7.30pm; Children born in 1999 & 2000: Saturdays 11.00am - 12.30pm, Mondays 6.00pm - 7.30pm and Wednesdays 6.00pm - 7.30pm.
The ignominy of it all! The inaugural winner of our Last Man Standing Competition is female which will probably lead to a campaign to effect a change in the Competition’s title. Congratulations to Tracy O’Donnell who is our Last “Man” Standing after nine weeks play and she wins £500.00. Thanks to all who took part in the Competition and be advised that Last “Man” Standing will return in August.
The Club’s Annual Dinner & Presentation Of Awards will be held in Castle Hume Golf Club on Friday 27th May at 8.30pm. Tickets for the Function, which cost £20.00 each, are now available and can be purchased from any Committee Member. It is advisable to make an early purchase!
