Congratulations to former “Town” goalkeeper Michael McGovern who signed
a 3 year contract with English Championship side Norwich City earlier today.
Michael, who has spent the past 15 years plying his trade in Scotland,
progressed through Celtic’s youth system before joining Dundee United in
2008. He then had spells with Ross County and Falkirk before being signed
for Hamilton Academical two years ago by Alex Neil - now Manager of
Norwich City.

Michael paid a flying visit home last Friday but still took the time to
meet up with Club Sponsor & President Pat Blake and Club Secretary
Gerard Connolly. Michael informed them of his impending switch to Norwich
City, regaled them with stories from the recent Euros and promised to donate one of his jerseys, signed by the Northern Ireland players, to the Club which will proudly go on display in Blakes of ‘The Hollow’.
